That's what many people tell themselves. Someday never seems to come.
If you ever decide you're ready to take the plunge, I'll be more than happy to answer any questions. I'm straight up exhausted tonight. We had a pretty good show.
My preferred guitar is a Gibson Les Paul. It's a very heavy guitar and I use it more than I use any other guitar on stage. At home, I have a small studio and I don't have to actually stand and wear the guitar. On stage, I'm not formal enough (nor playing for a formal enough audience) to do much sitting. They're only 12 pounds, but the weight is around your neck and shoulders. I actually like the weight, but when you're a very active performer it is exhausting.
I don't run and jump as much as I used to. I no longer climb up on the stacks. I'm pretty sure I'd break a hip if I tried a power slide at my age. But, I'm still pretty active.
Side note: It's so much nicer these days. The LED lighting is absolutely awesome. The temperature difference is huge. The old incandescent lights put out a lot of heat. You'd pretty much melt up there. LEDs make me happy.
