Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask COF, Crazy, or TheBuddha.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

No, for some reason they make you disassemble the whole thing

I don't buy laptops like that. I buy laptops I can easily swap components on. Then again, I've shown you the kind of laptops I buy already.

They have the benefit of being easy to open to add RAM, swap an SSD, change out the video card, and even put in a different wireless card.

They cost an arm and a leg, but they sure are nice pieces of kit.

I often do my own upgrades, so I insist on easy access.

I do not care about my laptops being thin and light. I care about them being robust, more than that. So, I don't buy the ultra-thin laptops.

Hell, many of them now solder the RAM (and sometimes the HDD) to the motherboard, meaning you can't upgrade them at all. Even worse, it means you can't fix them.

Well, you can if you have a reflow soldering station and shit like that... Most people do not own those things.
