The Ducati just screamed. It spooled up really quick - amazingly quick. You could rev the engine to redline in like a literal second and a half. And the pipes were only quiet at idle. The minute you got on it, it made a bunch of noise.
It was not like a Harley with straight pipes noise, but just as loud and much higher pitched.
It sounds like what it is, a bike meant for the track.
Yeah, those racing bikes do scream very loud. A lot different than a Harley type engine. I like to take it easy and just enjoy the outdoors and the wind in my hair at like 40 mph. It gets too windy for my preference at higher speeds. There are some real nice roads along the bay I like to cruise
I like a little faster - maybe 45 to 65 mph carving the corners type of driving.
Which was damned near impossible on the old bike. It wanted to go like 90 mph all the time.
It really was the wrong bike for me. It's one of the few things I regret buying, but I don't regret it all that much. I really had no business on that bike. I had a few good times on it.
It's a great bike - just not a great bike for me and what I do on a bike.
Yeah every now and then I do like to carve through some corners faster than the cruising speeds I enjoy. It is fun to go fast every now and then.
Did you sell the other one? I seem to remember you putting it up for sale a while back, or maybe you were just trying to talk me into buying it LoL
