It may be a 'Vette, but it's old. It's in pristine shape - but that's pristine shape for its day.
It's entirely unmodified.
The first few years of the 'Vette were really anemic engines, but that got better in 1957. So, it's a sporty car - for the era.
By modern standards, it's fairly slow, doesn't stop well, doesn't handle well, and doesn't have many features/creature comforts.
It still makes all the heads turn I am sure. That car has to draw a lot of attention.
I still think my car looks good for its age. And I drive it all the time.
It gets tons of attention. I can't stop for gas without someone coming to check it out.
And that's okay. It should be admired, looked at, and appreciated. That's why I own it.
It also starts some great conversations.
I bet it does. People start conversations with me in my car, the corvette would draw way more eyes than my car. Once I had a woman come walking up to me and tell me that I was driving her dream car and she would do anything to get to take a ride in it, and she does mean anything, she said. Then the date I had for the night came out the store and walked up from behind her and told her what the fuck are you doing get away from him. Damn it!
