Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask COF, Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

I don't know what that was but it sounds cool

That's what you call trippy. Tell you what there was a hit song kinda like this called Bridge of Sighs by Robin Trower.

Do you know the story behind the Bridge of Sighs? It is in Venice. It is the bridge leading from the courthouse to the jail. People who were sentenced to prison saw their last glimpse of the outside while walking across the Bridge of Sighs.

The volume on that is really low. Still, thanks for sharing.

It was so low that I opened it in its own tab and it was still quiet when played directly on YouTube.

Maybe your earbuds are busted?

Hey all, I hope you're doing great. Spring has sprung in my part of the world. Time for the ladies to start wearing shorts again.

A bass player and an accordionist joined me for this week's recording, a cover of a Pine Box Boys song. I apologize for the wind noise across the mic at the beginning of the song. It was a bit windy the day we recorded it in a graveyard.

I found a Poal bug. I noticed it last week, but didn't verify it. When playing the track from the insert (playing it here on the site in embedded form) I can't type a response at the same time.

Anyhow, interesting song. I'm entirely unfamiliar with it, but enjoyed it nonetheless.

As for spring, it has been in the 70s for a couple of days. The wife has been suitably attired. (And it is awesome!)

That's sounds so cool. Love that recurring guitar riff.

That was wonderful. Reminds me of something one would hear on a front porch at house in the country. Awesome!

Hey everyone! Sorry I'm late! Last week I made this here song

And today I decided to add lyrics. Songs are usually better with lyrics, right? Though with my singing I probably wrecked it LoL

I need to find my nipple pic.

I suppose I could just take a new one.

(It's my nipple, not my wife's nipple.)

Hello and welcome to another FNGT! Like normal, we'll go ahead and get you started.

We're longing for home a bit and this song fits the mood. We didn't do anything new this week and the amusing thing about this week's track is that I could (if needed) play every single instrument in this song - and indeed I have. It's not all that complicated, but it is fun to play.

Rock on, Poalr Bears! Rock on!

Oh yeah! I love this one when I sit at the piano

It's a fun song.

That's for sure

Great song. Thanks for posting this. I don't think I caught it the first time around.

[–] 0 pt

It's one of those songs that was so overplayed back in the day that I can (and have) performed every single part of that song.

Glad ya liked it.

Most recent song I've written with my guitarist. I am the drummer but also laid the bass for this track. Relax to this one, it's 10 minutes.

Post rock with slow builds, going for feeling, not showcasing...

Nice. Your username looks familiar. Have you contributed before?

One time just before voat shut down. I really like the idea of the thread but life gets in the way of having the time to enjoy it as much as I'd like to

[–] 1 pt

Real life has a way of doing that. That's why we have a few mods, 'cause someone's bound to have something else to do now and then.

As a musician, picking Friday night was probably not the best idea. When the band is performing, it's quite frequently on a Friday. At the same time, if I'd made it a weekday night then people would have to get up the following morning to go to work.

Well, this is off to a slow start. I'm actually okay with that. I'll be heading to bed early tonight, so this is alright by me!
