It's amazing how things come together like that.
I suspect that I'll end up with a ton of gear if I build my own studio outbuilding and let friends use it. Hell, I could probably just provide the space and it'd slowly fill up over time. All at low-cost or no-cost, 'cause we're musicians like that.
I just found out that the ice is out on the big lake back home. The ice is out...
It's April 10th. I'd expect the ice to be out on about May 15th.
It's almost 80° back home - and it's warmer than it is here. So, if I'm gonna miss a winter, at least I picked a good one to miss.
It is amazing how things work out. Just as I am talking to you about that he appears. Serendipity
And most people would say that this would have been a good winter to stay in Maine
Most people are not all that smart. They're average and below average!
Winter is the most awesome of all the seasons in Maine. I've driven my 1982 Volvo 245 like 300+ miles in a blizzard - parts of it through 10 and 12" of unplowed snow. It's rear wheel drive, no chains, and just regular winter tires.
Not only does that take massive amounts of skill, it's fucking awesome!
I have driven in many blizzards myself. It is all good fun until a snowplow appears out of the whiteout in your lane heading your way!
