So, I asked her why she got wipers for the headlights.

My mom has told me many times that when she was first married to my dad they had a convertible car and my dad would not let her put the top down ever cause that would wrinkle the roof and decrease the cars value. So she would just get a block or two from home and stop and put it down

LOL Cute story. I am not even remotely concerned with the resale value. There are pretty good odds that it will be a single-owner vehicle for its entire life - or possibly get traded in for another one in a few years.

Also... I did some digging. I'm not the only one with the idea of putting a Napier Deltic engine into a car.
