The tools they buy for themselves they can keep. The big tools for the shop gotta stay with the shop.
I paid for a very, very high-end 3D printer. They ain't taking that with 'em if they leave.
I really expect them to remain with me until I die. I don't see either one of them quitting. They get paid well. They have great stuff to work on. Every day is different for them. So, it'll keep them intersted.

Me too, 'cause hiring them was a bit of a pain in the ass. I had to go through the university just to find people to interview.
I didn't want a 'tech' that had taken 6 months of night-classes. I wanted automotive engineers that know why it works, how it works, and how to make it work - even when there's no manual or factory support.
I didn't want to hire someone that just knows how to change parts based on a code thrown by a computer.
Yeah, and you need someone that can figure out how to fabricate parts you can't get and shit like that too
