It's going to impact my right to bear arms, which is why we need to figure something out.

I'm actually in favor of making the firearm laws more liberal - in the truest sense of the word. I see no reason why I shouldn't be allowed to own any firearm I want to own.

I'm in favor of making rules regarding ownership. You should have to demonstrate that you know what you're doing, know how to safely store and operate each firearm, and that you're of sound mind and have an intelligence approaching normal.

You should have to demonstrate competency, secure storage, and mental health.

Yeah the mental health part is where is gets a little fishy, they can use that to declare those they constitute a threat as mentally ill and bar them from owning guns through subversive practices

If you can't bullshit your way through a mental health screening, if you can't hold it together for that short fucking interview, you don't deserve the right to bear arms.

I'm okay with screening those people out.
