LOL While it's true that there are times when armed citizens help, it's fairly rare for them to actually help in the event of a mass shooter.
So, that's a bold proclamation. If the customers had been armed, there's as much chance they'd have shot the wrong people.
Don't get me wrong. I love firearms. I own a whole lot of them. I just prefer the conversation surrounding them be based in reality. In reality, most folks (even those who carry on a regular basis) aren't very well trained.
Here's a fun one...
The average gun fight is fought at just six feet.
The average gun fight misses ~70% of the time.
From 6 feet away...
Yeah I know that most people are idiots and would probably be firing wildly. I just thought that maybe if the shooter knew that everyone else was armed they may not even try that nonsense in the first place, but you can't reason with insanity so it's probably moot.
That obviously doesn't work. It's America. There's a chance that many people are armed, yet shootings still occur.
You're assuming rational behavior from irrational people. You know better than that! (Yeah, it's a moot point. I agree with you.)
Also, they were probably drunk people. People gambling drink heavily, in my observations. I'm not sure I want them shooting anything!
Yeah, the problem is the government use shit like this to disarm everyone else
