I saw some guy using a bicycle hand pump on a car tire as I was driving down the road the other day. I thought, "what an idiot".

Since starting my car collection in earnest, I've accumulated like 30 of those pumps that plug into your cigarette lighter. I've yet to see one that looked like it was going to do any good. I'd definitely not want to rely on it for anything important. They give you that and a can of 'fix-a-flat' with their logo printed on the side of it.

It saves weight and they don't have to engineer a spare tire.

It might be good enough to inflate a floatable water chair or an air mattress

LOL I have a real compressor in my garage and there's an industrial compressor in the shop for the mechanics use.

But, yeah, it'd be good for blowing up children's toys and shit like that.
