Well I like to get up every day and see what crazy adventure is going to happen on this day! Every day something fucking awesome happens in my world. And I like it. And I really like not waking up with aches and pains. It seems like most people I know who are my age are much older than I am, hell even most people I know who are ten years younger than I am seem to me to act like they are older than I am. I hope it continues that way.

It's going to be one hell of a show tonight. Oh, yes... Yes, it is...

We're also gonna make bank as a band. We're getting our flat rate plus 50% of the door - and the door is $30. We're expecting up to 1200 people.

The venue already wants to book us two weeks out and tried to ask us to play next weekend. I fucking love this venue.

The temps are cool and it's expected to sprinkle a little. That's just fine. The cool temps will keep people dancing and moving, and will be nicer for us up on the stage. It's gonna be one hell of an event.

Don't forget the thread tonight! I will not be here! Well, I'll be here for a few minutes - maybe. We go on stage at 21:00.

And, yeah, it's important to have something that gets you out of bed each day. That seems to really help.

Hell yeah! That sounds like it's going to be a great night. It is finally cooler here today too, the first time its been less than 90 degrees in over a week. So you're going to be playing at that venue the next two Fridays? I'm going to have to make sure I am at the laptop the next few Fridays!

So far we've only committed to tonight and tomorrow. We'll probably agree to two weeks from now. I'm not sure if we'll take next week's offer. Maybe... The money is REALLY good. As a band, we'll clear more than 23k just for tonight. That's net - not profit. We'll get 18k just from the door. We'll do almost as well tomorrow night - as Saturdays are usually a little slower. Who knows, we may do just as well on Saturday as people want to come out and party. It's about 7k just to put on the show (counting paying everyone) with the stage and everything. We spent 3k just in new gels for the lights. So, it's good money - but that money gets spent.

I'm not sure about next week - but I'm pretty sure we'll do the following week. That seems likely, as we don't have any other people booking us yet. We have some 'maybe' accounts, but no other bookings at this time.
