I wasn't watching any news. I don't watch any news, ever.

If it's important, someone'll let me know. Otherwise, if I need information, I look it up.

Slight amendment: I do check local news, but usually just for the police logs or if someone told me to check the local news for something.

I do not watch the news. not even the local news. I apparently miss out on a lot of idiots doing idiot things.

I just checked the local news. It wasn't anything I didn't know about - or cared about. Some kid shot themselves, they're saying it was by accident. That's big news.

To put things in perspective, 41 students were in the graduating class at the nearest high school.

That's how remote I am.
