In theory, there should be probable cause and a cause hearing established when being arraigned. One should be read their charges and the court should already have established that there's a reasonable chance that you did it.

The justice system doesn't always work and it's sure as fuck not equal. It could be worse, you could be a minority. Even when innocent, they're treated far worse.

And, equal? Ha! Yeah... Right... You and I are not gonna get the same treatment in court. Not even close.

No, the court views me as criminal by default, and you are viewed as an upstanding pillar of the community

I probably break the law more than you do. I have drugs in my house right now. I drive way faster than the law allows.

There aren't any drugs in my house right now. I am about to go take a ride here on my bike with a beautiful passenger. I am not going to exceed the speed limits by more than 5 or 10 mph.
