We mostly want songs they already know. We hardly ever introduce people to new music, so we're limited to what gets/got the most radio play in the era(s) we're targeting.

Yeah, I suppose the most popular songs get the most reaction

Our job isn't to introduce 'em to new material, it's to play the music they're already familiar with. So, we don't do originals or deep album cuts, or even semi-deep album cuts. If we're playing it, it was probably in the top 50 at one point in time.
