I had one of my guys follow us in one of the work trucks, carrying tools and the likes. We only had one car that had issues and we were able to get that sorted out by stopping at NAPA Auto Parts and getting a replacement thermostat. That solved the overheating issues.
Only 8 cars were with us for the full cruise. We had 10, but two folks had to leave after lunch.
This is just a small, private car club. So, it wasn't all that organized.
That's not too bad when the biggest mechanical problem is a thermostat!
Well, that and some air in their system. We took care of it. Just keep squeezing the upper hose while adding fluids and keep doing that 'til the bubbles stop - and then top it off.
The others in the club must have really appreciated you bringing mechanics. That's got to give them peace of mind for a long cruise
