I can assure you that it was me. I can change my voice quite a bit, which is kinda my saving grace. I don't have a great voice, but I can mimic artists. However... Not all my attempts to mimic the artist work out as well as other times. Sometimes, I fuck it up and don't sound as much like the original artist as I can. It's things like that that make me not a great vocalist. I was gonna share a Meat Loaf song, but didn't find it as quickly.
And, yeah... I need to get a good driving game that supports multiple monitors and hydraulics for the seat. Basically, I want a full-fledged driving sim like the professionals use. They're about 30k, but I found a company selling them for like half of that. I was going to go test at their shop (they don't have a public-facing store) but COVID hit and I never got around to it. The one I was going to buy has likely been sold already. It was built directly into a 'real' F1 car - but just the front half that had been used for modeling and wind tunnel use.
That seems like a lot of money for a video game. I am sure my sons set up did not cost anything near that, the steering wheel has motors in it to give you tactile feedback and its cool and its fun. You dont need to spend that much, as you probably would not get all that much use from it
I'm pretty sure the software included isn't your standard video game. It's a real sim based on even better physics and a computer dedicated to the task. It's even got a curved monitor plus monitors on either side for a full view.
It's not just some game that you can go buy online or something. They go in and model the tracks with LIDAR and I think they're the company that shares some of that data with the video game companies.
I think... I'm not 100% positive. Some of this is questions I meant to ask when I went and tested the simulator, but I'm pretty sure I understand it right.
I understand that it would be super awesome. I just think that I would rather drive the real cars over the very best simulation. Even if they can get 9/10ths of the feel, it would still be lacking
