Carbon ceramics sure can!

Amusingly, people will take off their carbon ceramic brake pads when they go to the track. It's much, much cheaper to replace regular pads.

So, they buy the carbon ceramics and then don't use them in the only place where it should really matter.

They're REALLY expensive to replace, so their logic is kinda sound. They get marginally less performance for a whole lot of savings.

I am not a poor. So, I give no shits if I have to replace them. In fact, I bought the cars knowing that it'd be expensive to replace the brake components.

Yeah you don't have to worry about those kind of things at all really.
