LOL It's not necessarily greed, it's preservation of value over long term. If you let Uncle Bob climb in their with his standard wrenches rounding metric nuts as he breaks things, you make the image look bad. Besides, they don't want to fix it after you fucked it up. They're insanely complicated things. To get full access to a McLaren 720S, you need to pretty much remove the entire rear end. That's how they fit the engine in the car. It's a monocoque built around an engine and subframes. They can't just make a panel that lifts up like your trunk. The engine, exhaust, and transmission are all housed back there. If you try to pull off the backend and break it, you'll likely say it's somehow their fault - making the company look bad even though you had no business pulling it off in the first place. 'Snot like either of us knows how to diagnose and fix it!

Hell, Ferrari will straight up sue you and not let you buy any more cars from them directly if you do things that damage their brand. Ferrari doesn't fuck around. Search for "Ferrari sues Ferrari owner" and have a look around. Ferrari gives zero shits about your thoughts on the matter.

And, why would he go to Tennessee for booze? You live in WI. There's no shortage of alcohol for him to drink.

Ferrari is insane. I will do anything I damned well please with the things I own. If they want that tight of control they should only lease them, then it would seem reasonable to me. Telling people what they can and can not do with their own property is ridiculous. I do understand people using the brand to promote their products being out of bounds without prior compensation and permission, but to make someone take a wrap off of a car they own? Come on

Most of Tennessee is awesome. The cities kinda suck. Nashville isn't too bad as far as cities go, it's mostly the little cities. They're full of meth and idiots.

And, yeah... One does not piss off the Ferrari gods if one wants to continue to buy Ferrari products. The thing is, they probably don't have a leg to stand on in court (for many of their suits). If people just stood up to them and gave them the finger, some of those cases would be thrown out of court (from my reading of facts).

Ah, good call. I've stomped all around Tennessee. The cities kinda suck and the smaller cities suck even more. Maryville, TN is a horrible place. Even the good hotels in Maryville have cockroaches.
