Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask COF, Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

I already had a lot of freedom by the time I got my license. I was 16, but I'd been a private/prep school for years by then. It was coed and largely a place for fuckups in one way or another, even though it was considered pretty posh and had a good reputation.

Older students could have a car on campus and pretty much had free run so long as they were there for classes and back in bed by curfew. Even then, they would be pretty lax about curfew. The school is very different today, but when I went it was pretty lax.

In short, I was already having a pretty good time when I got my license. It was even better afterwards! My memory says my first car at the school was a Ford van. I paid like $200 for it, but it actually ran and drove well enough. If I'd known more about mechanical work I'd have had it longer. Maybe... It was also handy for moving musicians around.

Cool. I had a rusty old van many years ago that one day I hit the accelerator and the drivers seat gave way and I was suddenly lying on my back

LOL That can be scary.

I once owned a bus. Like, a real school bus. It was a short bus, like 21 passenger or something like that? I kept a few seats in it, used the rest for storage, and it was pretty much the ultimate drunk driving adventure 'cause I could fit like 8 friends into it with plenty of room.

It too was used to carry band equipment. We had big hopes of painting it the band's colors/logo. Instead, we just painted it the cheapest paint we could find (brown) and disconnected the lights and stop sign. Some of that was for legal purposes. I had to cover at least "SCHOOL BUS", so the whole thing got painted brown - except the roof 'cause we were short and lazy and didn't have a big ladder or feel like crawling on top of it.

It was great. Dual tires in the rear meant I never had traction issues. It actually had a big ol Chevy (458? I think?) engine in it. It'd haul ass and even spin tire - but not that much.

Also, I'm stoned.

Someone gave me a nugget of some weed, so I smoked a couple of hits. Just four, but I'm pretty fucking stoned. I was pretty stoned after two hits. I'm pretty impressed. My weed isn't harvested yet. I'll likely wait to the first frost and then have help dealing with it. I've got people who will come trim it up for me in exchange for some of it or some money. It's worth it to me to hire it out.

I'm stoned too. I'm sitting here with a guitar making up some riff. It sounds like beethoven
