I have heard the song before many times. I just had no idea what he was saying

Huh... That's one of the ones I can make out pretty clearly.

There are songs where I have no fucking clue what the lyrics actually are, but not that one. There are some songs where I haven't got a clue what all the words are. Needless to say, we don't perform those songs.

You know, I may know all the lyrics from it being one of the earliest songs I learned. I used to cover a lot of CCR. In my defense, it was the late 60s and early 70s.
