Have you seen "The Terry Kath Experience"? His daughter never knew him, just through his music and stories she heard. She went looking for more information (and for ), and made a movie about the whole thing.
No, I haven't. I'll have to look for it. Thanks.
I'm surprised Les Paul's #1 didn't sell for more. Cobain got $6M for his acoustic and Gilmour got $3M for his Back Beauty.
Yeah, if I had that kind of money to burn, I'd probably just pick up a nice thick Martin.
That movie's on youtube. Search for "Chicago: The Terry Kath Experience".
His daughter is beautiful, looks like her dad.
People buy these things for investments. Cobain and Gilmour's names are worth more than Les Paul's.
Kath was the Heart and Soul of Chicago. They were never the same without him. 25 or 6 to 4 is arguably the greatest recorded guitar solo of all time and yet if you watch Chicago at Tanglewood in 1970 he actually blows the studio version away. The guy was an absolute beast
He was the first pro guitarist I saw. Shreveport, 1975. Beast for sure. Awesome vocals, awesome fretwork. I went home and practiced.
One his deepest tunes for ME is Tell Me from Electra Glide in Blue. His voice in that is just pure emotion. The lyrics bittersweet and of course visually it was just the PERFECT ending to the movie
