Yeah, they'll be refreshing the engine and transmission, new gaskets and all that jazz. They'll even do things like get the driveshaft balanced. New brakes, brake lines, rebuild master cyl., new wheels, some interior work, programmable ECU, etc...
Nice. That guy will have a great running ugly Mustang!
He's basically willing to pay what it'd cost to buy one in that same condition. So, that's alright by us. We can do it with that budget.
As for the choice... I don't get it either. I don't even own a fox body (or F2) platform Mustang. I'm not gonna buy any for me either.
They are starting to go up in value, but they're not even remotely 'expensive' yet. People use the 5.0 as a decent starting point for not a lot of money. Well, that's catching on and the prices are climbing.
I have never been impressed with those fox body Mustangs
