Goddamned right.
My cars have the added benefit that they're not owned by a snob.
So long as you do what I say, I have been known to let people climb in my cars. I've taken pretty much strangers for drives.
If you're wearing like a chain wallet or something, I don't want you anywhere near my paint. But, at the same time, for like 80% of what I own I'd happily do a burnout and risk scratching it with rocks.
Fuck, I took a $240,000 Porsche GT2 down a dirt road with ruts and small holes at 90 to 100 mph for parts of it. That's not even set up for rally. It was/is a street Porsche GT2. I probably hit as high as 110 once or twice. I covered the entire stretch of road, like 4.5 miles in just over 4 minutes. I timed myself on the way back but had to stop because of traffic. I thought about passing them rally style, but I couldn't trust the other driver to stay in their lane. It was barely room for 2.5 cars much of the way. One of the corners is a giant 100' clearing so I take that 90° corner at like 65 MPH with my ass end out the whole way.
I did that with a car most people will never own. There are people who hang pictures of that same car on their wall as a dream car.
I thrashed it down a dirt road on the day I was meant to turn it back into the mechanics. (It was fine. It just needed a cleaning.)
So...
Yeah...
Lemme see 'em do that at Pebble Beach.`
That's the good life!
I've driven that section of road many times, in many things, and at many speeds - while in many conditions.
I have some pretty rough 'roads' around me. There are places where my truck might get stuck. I do own an HMMWV of sorts. So, that'd do better.
And, damned right, it's a good life. I don't think you were around that day, so I probably only told COF. Ah well... It was prtty much the best day ever.
Performed much better through the woods than your lawyers Mustang I bet!
