I think thats a pretty good analogy, somehow I don't think I'll ever be able to quite play this one. Maybe in 30 years but by then I'll probably have forgotten all about it. I'll keep practicing and get some lessons maybe I'll play enter sandman in a year or two.
Someone on Voat requested that I do a cover of a Chet Atkins song. I picked Mister Sandman.
This is VERY difficult, much more difficult than Metallica's Enter Sandman.
That sounds difficult I can almost see your fretting hand in my minds eye. I'm learning to visualize what I hear people doing its really an interesting consequence of learning to play.
There are days when I don't even like music anymore. It's difficult for me to just sit and enjoy. Instead, I think critically about their composition and performance. I can't help but judge it and I can't always enjoy it.
That's why I click so few links to things people share. It's work.
Sorta related, I released some live work from the band on Voat. It's all without vocals and just jams (we played a blues bar), which means the band can't easily be doxxed by it.
You may enjoy this:
That's a Les Paul in the lead, pretty much just like what you play.
