We will have one major difference of opinion (and poal is absolutely welcome to use it and whatnot), in that I will allow all speech that is lawful. Yes, that includes those shitty damned-near child-porn images. No, I don't like them. Yes, I believe in free lawful speech.
I'm pretty sure I've made that abundantly clear! ;-) I love me some free speech, even if the poster is a terrible person in my opinion. Hell, I don't even want the job of providing this. I'm told that makes me the best candidate.

Oh yes, I've seen it. It doesn't have the features I want and I don't want to upload to other sites - I want this one to be reliable.
I want people to be able to have accounts and, from there, maybe let them make galleries and even tag stuff for searching and shit like that. Ideally, it'd support private uploads and all that jazz.
What I want is a reliable single point for image hosting that respects free speech. I've used the pic8 before, by the way. I use it when I have high res images and imgoat chokes on them.
It's still very much in the idea phase, as I'm super busy for a couple of weeks. I'm not sure where it'll go from here, but we will see. I've also just tendered an offer to the owner of imgoat. I'll take over all the expenses and shit, just pass over the keys to the kingdom.
I'm pretty damned positive I've demonstrated my conviction to free speech. I'm also pretty damned positive that a single point site could be beneficial. So, I'm hoping their admin control panel and server isn't a hot mess. If it's not, I'll go ahead and take it. I'll even throw them a few extra bucks for their trouble.
