Oh, the lawyer has the papers, that makes a lot more sense to me now. Explains why they can't find the one you knew was there
The papers I have should mirror the papers they have. So, there's that. I should have no paperwork they don't already have. He kept a backup copy in one of my safes. (A wise thing to do, in case of things like fire or other catastrophe.)
Well I hope you have the ones they can't seem to locate. I am sure their minds are not quite fully functional at this time
Yeah, this is the first death they have dealt with - sorta. I mean, they lost their mother years ago, but it was years ago and they didn't have to do any of the shit that comes after a death. So, they have no idea what's going on.
And that's okay... They'll learn while they still get to grieve. I've got it covered for them and I'll make sure his shit gets squared away. We were friends to the point where he was a father figure. Plus, he was also a Marine. I'll look out for him and he knew that, which is probably why he made me the executor of the estate.
I'm just not sure why he never told me.
I dunno, maybe he told me when we were all fucked up. I have no idea. I certainly don't remember him telling me.
Anyhow, I need to do a conference call soon. Well, I'll be the one on the phone. The others will be there in person. I guess that's not really a conference call, more like I'll be there on speaker phone. I think I've got another hour of free time before that. I should probably pick up a guitar as I've yet to do my practice this morning.
