And, yeah, I'm pretty sure that the first semi-hollow body Telecaster wasn't until 1969.

I did a few images searches for what he described and I could not find a single telecaster hollow body with an F hole in that color from any year at all.

The only real way to be sure is to go by the serial number. It'll have one, possibly stamped on it twice.
