That's pushing it... The guitar might go for 2.2k on Craigslist and the amp would be (even with the upgraded speaker) probably only about retail, Figure that's in the $900 range which puts you at $3100.

You're buying them both at the same time. I'd offer $2750 'cause on a good day you can get the guitar for more like $1800 and the amp for $600. Changing a speaker out doesn't really add much to the value unless you also get the speaker that was originally in it. If he's got the original speaker still, then 3k is fair.
