Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

Here's a quick and dirty copy with the wife and I.

You can use that as a fairly clean way to judge your tone. It's a great song to cover.

Yeah, we were mostly just noodling then. She had some timing issues and was still learning the rhythm part.

Man alive! I love that song. I learned that a while ago and I couldn't play that outro to save my life.

Anywho, I sing that one. Did it at Scaryoke a couple times.

"Check out guitar George he knows all the chords." "He can play the honky tonk like anything."

Great stuff. Came out in the middle of the disco era. Right before MTV eighties stuff.

I love the lead part of the song. It's just got an odd sense of timing that really only seems to work when you look at the entire composition. Then and only then does it flow.

If you can make it flow throughout, you'll nail the outro. You just gotta get that sense of timing and then it makes sense. From right about the 5 minute mark pay attention to your foot. The rest will flow from there.
