Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

It's much more automated in the video I linked - but there's still some hands-on work. Shit, I bet robots could do it all today. At least a goodly amount of the work could be done by robotics.

Hmm...

A modern vacuum tube manufacturing process might actually make some money. Especially if they can keep it up and provide quality.

There's not a lot of demand - but there might be enough demand for a single factory.

That first video you sent me the guy said the factory orders are on a six month back order, so there just might be enough demand

There's enough money for them to have a high-end vacuum tube company - 'cause you linked to one in the video you linked.

Well, I'm assuming there is - 'cause they were doing so. Granted, they may have gone out of business by now.

But... If you could find the old tooling used to originally make them on a mass scale AND train up the forces needed for the hands-on work (or look to robotics to eliminate that)...

Yeah, there's some money to be made - but I have no idea if it's enough to warrant all that cost to get it started.

And, robotics have come a long, long ways. We have them fitting the tiniest of components on cell phone circuit boards, for example... Ain't any humans involved in a lot of that. Robots do a fuck ton. I'm sure they'd be useful for this task.

Yeah a robotic tube factory would be awesome!
