For what it is, I'd call that cheap. From the reviews and videos, the company makes solid guitars for the money. It's not a Gibson, it's just really good for the price.

Also, the name for these are "Chibsons" - meaning Gibson knockoffs from China.

Well I hope they don't even decide to go after that, I don't know, I doubt they will even notify him if they decide not to pursue the case.

Those do look like really nice guitars for the price. I would like one of these. But they are sold out

Yeah... He's definitely guilty of that charge, like it or not. That looks like it won't fuck him over - put him on the sex offender registry or anything like that. He'd probably get probation and maybe required to attend sex offender therapy. (I pay attention to the court logs in the paper - but I'm not sure if it'd be the same where you live.)

Also, here's a brand closer to your price range that makes 'good' guitars according to what I've watched/heard/read.

If they do decide to press forward with the statutory rape I would tell him to work out a plea deal where he's not on any sex offender registry and gets no jail time, six months or a year of probation is nothing.

Yeah I don't know what to think of the Harley Benton guitars, I have never seen one in person, but I have seen reviews where people say they are great and other reviews where people say they are pure crap and total garbage. So I would have to check one out. I really don't care what the brand is on the guitar as long as I like to play it
