Yeah, that stuff possibly has tubes - and kinda has to have tubes as the transistor hadn't been invented yet. So, yeah...
Man... Tubes are just such simplicity. They sucked in so many ways, but simple is what they were. Give me 8 hours and you'll be able to fix anything made with tubes - also 'cause of the size of components. You can reflow modern transistor PCBs, but it really should use special gear and it's expensive and difficult.
If you could start yourself a tube factory you may have a great opportunity
Small scale boutique tubes that are well made and backed with a warranty for like a year?
You'd probably be able to create such a company. They're not even that hard to make. I mean, I can't do it - but I know the mechanics of how it is made and I could research it to find more information.
