Took a gamble in 2013 and bought a LP on eBay from a guy that guitar tech’d for some big name players. He’s partial to ‘59 LPs and knows them well. He hand picks them from Gibson to be as close to a ‘59 as possible in every way then adds the vintage “styled” hardware and electronics to them. He worked with Les Paul in his final years making what Les thought to be the best version of a humbucker he ever put together. These he puts on his ‘59 “reissues”. It was gamble well worth it. Thing plays and sounds like a dream. Played a lot of Gibsons in the shops prior to making the leap and more than half of them might as well been Epiphones and none were as nice as this one. I know there are better makers of LPs than Gibson out there, but hey this one says Gibson on it and it plays and sounds just how I want it to, flawlessly. If it has a flaw at all, it’s me. I got lucky for the price because most of them in that range are not nearly as impressive as one would hope them to be. To be fair, my opinion only of course and based on what was available to me at the time.

Cool vid btw! A lot different than the newer factory tours!
