I could go sit on my front porch and I would see 6 cars going by in less than 30 seconds. But yeah, I could see how that would get annoying. I remember when I lives in the house on the water with the beach in my back yard, in the summer time on Friday nights the highway was filled with cars going north and if you needed to get across the street it would sometimes take ten minutes just to cross. Then Sunday evenings were the worst with all those same cars headed back south. It was like a constant parade. One time I was trying to get on the highway for 20 minutes with no break in traffic and eventually said fuck it and went back home instead. Any other day the traffic there was sparse
Maybe you need to learn how to make your own "Michigan Left". (I'd describe it in detail, but you have Google. Basically, to take a left into traffic you start by taking a right into traffic.) It's a handy tool for dealing with traffic, similar to how you pretty much never see a UPS truck taking a left into traffic.
Tourist traffic is annoying, but the village needs that influx of cash to survive.
Oh I did do that a couple times just to get moving cause I was sick of waiting.
I pretty much just made sure I was stocked up on everything that I might need on Friday and Sunday and just stayed home those days in the summer.
LOL I kinda do the same. I avoid the village unless there's something interesting going on. I also always make sure I'm well-stocked in alcohol and other things I can only get from a store. These days, I have a slight advantage. I can send J and/or Biff to get what I want.
