I'd modify his gear acquisition syndrom a bit - to state that you do at least want good gear that will help you make better tones. Once you have that gear, you really don't need to keep buying more. But, you definitely should spend more time playing than you do checking out new gear.

I like him. He's got good information.

His voice is a bit off-putting, however. He also exudes 'more ego than deserved'. So, I can see why you might not like him.

But, I like his information. I guess that's more accurate than saying I like him - but his content is among my favorites.
