Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

I bought a pack of a hundred picks years ago, and I managed to lose them all within a month. I lose guitar picks like there is a pick fairy following me around stealing them.

I can lose picks without even leaving my chair. It's horrible.

I expect 100 of 'em will last a few months. I'd have just ordered my favorite sizes, but an assortment will be nice for a budding guitarist.

Yeah an assortment will allow you to try different thicknesses and whatnot and you can find out which ones work best for you

I prefer somewhere around a .50 mm for strumming an acoustic, about a .75 for regular picking, a 1.2 for metal, and a 1.8 if I'm using it to play bass.

Somewhere in that general area and I'm all good. Gimme a few seconds and I can adjust to pretty much any pick size. I do not like metal picks, however. Wooden picks can be nice and make a warm tone.
