Indeed. I've purchased a number of race cars. I want to say I purchased (from auction) 4 additional race cars - three of which are Porsche models and one Saleen. No F1 cars, however.

I did, for a very short time, own a car that had once held a world speed record from out on the salt flats. Someone had wanted to outbid me and the folks there let me know, so I sold it to him without ever taking possession of it.

But no... No, F1 cars. Trust me on this! I'd definitely 'member buying one.

Shit, I'd have had it delivered somewhere local (down here) - perhaps stored at VIR - and driven it at least for a weekend.

You would know better than I. I do remember you owning that land speed record car for an hour or so. I remember you buying a benz that was the first one they used when they returned to racing after the Nuremburgring accidents

Oh, shit... Yeah, there's a Benz too. In my head that's not a race car - meaning I won't take it racing. I'd take it to a track, but not racing. It is historically significant. So, I'd consider doing historic racing with it.

I completely forgot about that car. (I haven't driven it yet - or even touched it.
