I got my water leak fixed. I accomplished something productive on a holiday!

You do better than I'd do.

I'd have shut the water off to the zone (I have a bunch of off valves for just this sort of reason - if it can be isolated, it is isolated - it's a joy from having the house built new) and called the plumber. I'd have paid 'em extra to come out on the holiday.

I would not have fixed it myself.

It's a pretty firm rule. I don't work on plumbing. I'll help put new plumbing into a new house, but I won't work on it after that. Fuck no... I hate plumbing.

LOL And I wasn't about to do the work myself.

Also, I have done some reading and some math.

I own multiple cars that can do a quarter mile faster than an F1 car can do it. I did not realize this until this evening.

I suspect they'd catch and pass me in the corners but there are no corners in a drag race.
