The rain will melt it quick
Yeah, it'll probably be gone pretty quickly. I still might take the Defender out to play in it, maybe get it a little muddy while I'm out there.
It's a Defender. It's even an older one (but a resto-mod). So, I'm not getting stuck. I did swap out the street tires it had on it and it wears an aggressive set of BF Goodrich A/T type of tires whose name escapes me at the moment and I'm too lazy to Google.
Sounds like fun!
I'm 99% positive that it'll be pretty much the best day ever. Pretty sure...
I was a bit optimistic with the LT25. With some more testing, I'd say it's more like a 20 watt tube amp in volume - which is still amazing, but not as amazing as I'd thought. I thought it was a parity, or close enough. I cheated and ran a dB meter, just to see.
That said, I've spent more time with it now. I'm really, really impressed. This amp would have been much more expensive just 17 years ago - even 10 years ago. The modeling isn't perfect, but it's definitely close enough - and, regardless, you get beautiful tones out of it.
You should buy one. I don't say 'should' often. I swap it out for 'could' and people are much more receptive. But, in this case, you should buy one. Well, probably not - not if you're happy with what you have and with your effects pedals (as well as what you can add after the fact in post).
It's not just aimed at beginners - it's aimed squarely at those who want a practice amp with a ton of features - but this is the lowest model in the lineup. Then, there's the GTX lineup that follows - sorta. The LT25 is so good that it's still being made and sold directly from Fender.
It came with OEM packaging and appears to be brand new. It was listed as 'used/mint', but it's not mint - it's like better than mint somehow. As I told you, even the plastic bit that protects the LCD is still on it. It still has Fender sales data attached to it (string around one of the amp buttons). It was in a bag in a box, but it didn't look like it had been opened. The power supply cord had never been used. It was still OEM packaged. I paid $139 + tax with free shipping.
