A number of musicians agree that learning any other instrument, any instrument, will make your guitar better.

I can play something on pretty much any instrument I pick up, even if it's just Beethoven's 5th.

Yeah I like learning new instruments. I like even just playing with new instruments when I don't really know how to play them. I can still find a melody

If you can show me which notes are which, I can probably play something.

Odds are that it'll even be recognizable. I also own a bunch of instruments that I don't actually play. Someone might come along that plays them, or I might need 'em for something. Hell, as I'm sure you know, I even own kettle drums. The heads will need tuning by now, but I own 'em!
