Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

Yeah, like people on probation can not consume alcohol, which is legal most everywhere.

Also, I dug up this:

https://greenwaymaine.com/question/marijuana-parole-probation-card/

How much stock one places in a random website, I do not know. I'd still clarify it with my probation/parole officer before using (or, better still, with my lawyer).

I think it mostly depends on if the judge has ordered complete sobriety or not.

According to the PA Assistant (not a doctor, as I didn't see an MD today 'cause said MD wasn't in the building and the PA can still prescribe my drugs), if it's medical marijuana then it can't be prohibited by the legal system.

That's IF it's MEDICAL - meaning you went to a doctor and were prescribed marijuana for whatever reason. It has to be prescribed by a medical professional.

If that's the case, they can't stop you nor penalize you for using pot.

If it's for recreational use, they can (and still do) disallow it. However, according to the PA, they're much more lenient about it than they used to be. You're probably not going back to jail if the only thing you did wrong was fail a drug test for weed.

So, there's that. That's from asking a medical professional - not a legal professional and not someone working within the justice system.

Again, if faced with this, I'd encourage you to check with your lawyer.

Little known tidbit... If you were appointed an attorney, they are still your attorney until the matter is resolved - not only would they do things like file appeals, you can phone 'em up and ask them questions like if you can smoke medical marijuana. They're your attorney until the matter is closed - be it appeals exhausted or a dismissal from probation/parole. They're still your attorney if you violate parole, for example. (They may not be your attorney for new charges while on parole.)

Yeah, it's like that - I'm pretty sure. I'm not 100% certain.

I can ask - assuming I remember. I'm not on probation and I don't have any bail conditions 'cause I'm not in any legal trouble. So, this isn't something I'm certain about. While I do know some people who have had legal troubles, I've never directly asked about this before - but I recall it being a matter of discussion/a quick topic point that was just a momentary thing.

So, don't quote me on it. LOL If you're in legal trouble and on probation with conditions, be sure to ask your lawyer or your probation officer before ingesting weed - with or without a prescription! Do not take my word for it!
