I sometimes "join" their channel, which is what I was referring to above. They usually want like five bucks a month - which is more than I'd have given them by clicking on ads. I just can't stand video ads. On the TV, which I am still watching - or at least have running constantly - I can just do something else. In a video, I kinda have to wait for them to end or I'll lose track and forget to tab back over to the video when the ad is over with.
The problem is that I forget and just keep subscribing, even if I'm done watching them. I have all sorts of stupid shit that I pay for because I'm too indifferent and lazy to cancel. For example, I probably pay like fifty bucks to Google every month, for everything from YouTube to some shit I had/have on my phone. I pay for Hulu, Netflix, Spotify, and more... I never used those services, but an ex did and I still just pay for them 'cause other people use those accounts. Like my daughter and son will use Hulu and Netflix, so I just keep paying for it. I'm pretty sure I pay for Disney+ 'cause I wanted to see a few Marvel movies and a series. I don't think I ever stopped my services.
Of all the things I pay for, the one I use every day is my VPN. I am constantly connected to that.
I do not like having monthly bills for something I don't use so I am not subscribed to anything
Oh, man... I'm terrible at that sort of stuff.
For example, I get drunk and see a St. Jude fundraiser and I get maudlin about it, call them up, and pledge like $20/month.
Except I've done so like five times now, all on separate accounts. I've got like two mugs and three shirts all from getting drunk and maudlin.
By the way, 'maudlin' is a wonderful word. The definition is spot on and I don't get to use it in a sentence all that often. It's also a fun word to say. It makes your mouth do silly things. Do look up the definition if you're not 100% sure what it means. Then, you too will understand the value of the word!
That is a good word. I enjoy a large vocabulary in conversation.
You know, you can cancel those monthly payments if you really wanted to
