does it come with a footswitch that you can change the effects as you're playing?
No, but you can buy one for like 20 bucks - but it's only A/B. Meaning you can use it to pick between two presets and that's all you can do.
Well at least you could pull off a power ballad
have you ever thought about having one of these?
There's a clean channel that's super clean, so you could use it as a pedal platform. I've seen people (I've watched like every video on it and read every page about it) also use pedals with some of the presets - sorta augmenting the existing tone. It'd be perfectly fine with that, but you'd have to chain them on the input because there's no effects loop.
It's a very versatile piece of kit. I'm very impressed with it - and very impressed with the seller. I gave them the highest possible reviews and rating. If it was used, it was used very gently and for no serious amount of time. I might replace the speaker with something a bit more dynamic, but the existing speaker was designed specifically for this amp - so I'm not sure how much I'd gain there. I'd largely be replacing it because that's something a new guitarist would want to learn how to do.
And, no... No, I've never seen one of those before, so I've never considered buying one before.
I have piloted a helicopter, by the way. It's not terribly difficult to figure out, but I (obviously) had a licensed pilot beside me. A buddy of mine owns an old Vietnam-era HUEY. I've taken off and flown it, but definitely not down a logging road. No, no... I'd not try that in a helicopters.
I'm not sure how much use I'd get out of something like that. I'd probably just use it a few times. It looks relatively harmless and like you're not going to go fast enough to get seriously hurt. So, it'd likely be reasonably safe. Still, it's not something I'd probably get into. I don't intend to buy a helicopter, or a plane for that matter. In fact, buying either of those is on my "NOT EVEN WHILE DRUNK" list.
