They did put up the traffic lights after the counts so it worked
Holy fuck...
I just did a client's WordPress install in like 30 minutes. It's a 3 to 6 hour job just to get started for my sites, but their site is much easier. I was also able to use a bunch of config files from my other sites - saving me a ton of time.
Awesome!
You're selling webmaster services now?
Nah, I did it for them for free 'cause it was faster and easier than fixing their fucking mess. I didn't charge 'em a penny extra.
And, damned right, it's integrity. We could have just taken the money and done a shitty job, given them what they paid for, but paying for half an infrastructure improvement without understanding the full system is never going to end well and I want nothing like that attached to my reputation.
If you haven't noticed, I tend to do what I say I'm gonna. I'm pretty keen on keeping that a part of my reputation.
FedEx isn't here with my new (used) amp. If they're not here today (supposedly they'll deliver up until 20:00) they're gonna have to ship it to Maine. That should only take a day or two.
I could probably order a second one to have in Maine, but that kinda defeats the point of trying to do this on the cheap.
I can't wait for shipping prices to return to normal, 'cause my 'cheap guitar collection' could use some diversity.
LOL They should have examined the full system. We dealt with many penny-pinching municipalities over the years. We declined to work with some of them, simply because we couldn't do adequate quality work with the budget they wanted. (I call that "integrity".)
I call that integrity as well
