I can see being annoyed, but I'd have kept working - probably. I mean, not now... If I were in your shoes, I'd have kept working as much as I could stand.
Speaking of money, you should click an ad or two at my site. It's actually saying that I've (barely) made triple digits for the past 28 days.
And the hosting is officially covered by ad revenue.
Fuck... I hit submit but it didn't work.
There were lots of jobs cancelled and not much available at the time. I was looking forward to that job! I didn't want to do something else for a lot less right then. I should have been able to do what I was assigned
Hmm... They should have at least offered it to you when the job became available again. I mean, it's not like we were locked down forever, so surely the work got done eventually.
I had something very similar happen on 9/11. For reasons I can't get into, we were working on secure data and had to have at least one (preferably two) people on-prem for the duration of the contract. The job required clearance, so it was myself and one of my employees that was there on site.
Well, they locked the base down tighter than a drum head and it was months before we could even get back on base for our equipment.
On the other hand, the gov screwed up the contract and I made out (eventually) like a bandit because of it. They failed to uphold their end of the contract.
Still, it was frustrating and years before we were finally paid.
They cancelled the whole project, so there was no job to offer me.
At least you got to do the work eventually
