Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

Depends what happened!

Whelp, I am not perfect. I completely whiffed it in a corner, losing almost all control. I was able to keep it mostly on the asphalt and rubber-side down, but I ended up in the opposite lane and facing the opposite direction. I failed to notice the sand and gravel on the asphalt, so had reduced traction in the corner. I would have been well within the envelope, but the sand and gravelly stones reduced friction and Ol' Buddha went more sideways than he expected.

I can usually remain calm and keep this sort of stuff on the pavement. It was a 35 mph corner and I wasn't going much faster than that, so no scratches, no dents, and the tires don't feel like I put a flat spot in 'em.

Well thank goodness you were not going faster than that!

You said she would do that to you!

Yup. She nipped at me, but didn't quite bite me.

It was enough for me to find a place to pull off and then walk the corner to see where I screwed up - and I may have dropped an inner tire off the pavement. I couldn't really tell. But, it happened pretty much the exact same time I hit the gas to start exiting the corner. It was quite accurately the apex.

All things considered, I didn't really do much of anything wrong. Even if I dropped a tire into the sand, the corner was covered in small stones and sand - kinda like driving on marbles. I made it a point to hit the corner a 2nd time and that time navigated it just fine.
