I like it when things pay for themselves. From my property, to my mechanics, to my websites.

Sure, I could pay for all the expenses and not even notice - but it's the principle of things. It's not really about the money itself, it's about the idea/goal/asset proving its worth.

I'm not sure how much sense that makes to other people, but it makes sense to me. It's why I don't do things like play for the band for free. My time and experience are worth money. They don't pay me enough, but I do get paid.

Even my property pays for itself - either in gains that cover expenses or in other ways. My blueberries obviously pay for themselves, they do some logging on my property here and that pays for itself, and the farm obviously pays for itself. Shit like that...

That's the way to keep your wealth and not be broke in a couple years like a lot of the athletes who get paid 100 million dollars end up
