How are the cops with drinking in public there. I can walk down the street drinking and they won't say a thing
They're pretty cool but the laws actually vary a bit, depending on where you are.
In my area, it's weird. You can drink in public unless signs prohibit it OR if a cop tells you that you can't drink.
The fine for it was like $0.75 the last time I knew. The same cop kept catching my buddy, pretty much every time he opened a beer.
Thats a pretty miniscule fine
I assume it's because the law has been on the books a long time and they've just not gotten around to removing the law - or increasing the fine amount. Back during the prohibition era, that'd be a much more significant fine.
Son of a bitch...
Some dude PMed me randomly at the linux.org site, asking if I could consult for "a few weeks to two months".
I sent back a snarky comment telling them exactly who I am, that I'd do it for $150/hour and that I consult not perform - exclusively.
They just sent me back a message asking when I can begin.
I gotta nip this in the bud and let them know I was joking.
