As a car, it suits you. So, keeping it in running condition is probably a good thing. It may be more expensive to keep it running than it is to buy a new car, but it might be more affordable to keep the existing car running.

It will definitely be cheaper than buying a new car to repair that one

For now...

Eventually it'll make no sense to repair it and getting a new one will be your only reasonable option. Of course, many folks are unreasonable at that stage and keep throwing money into their car because they have formed an emotional attachment and don't understand critical thinking.
